Warning

These cameras are designed to be incorporated in a complete system (such as a dome system) and are controlled through serial port, without any switch or pushbutton on the camera itself. Knowledge of transmission protocols and of software control syntax is mandatory for a correct use of cameras. Sending a wrong control can lead to unwanted adjustments to other parts of the camera's operating system and even result in permanent irrecoverable damage to the camera.

VKS454E Chassis wide dynamic range progressive scan color camera

	Colour metal chassis camera, especially suitable for use in domed systems.
	Digital slow shutter for full colour surveillance under very low light conditions.
	The IR removable filter allows for a minimum illumination of 0.01 lux (IR cut filter off) and true colors with daylight illumination(IR cut filter on).

The degree of the removable IR filter 's effectiveness varies with the type and intensity of the light source

Wide dynamyc range (WDR).

Hitachi's Wide Dynamic Range Technology uses two shutter speeds in alternative video fields - high and normal - every 50th of a second and combines two fields into one progressive scan frame. It allows every detail to be captured accurately even if one portion is bright while other portions are dark. Whether at the high shutter speed or normal shutter speed, the progressive scan CCD provides an horizontal resolution of 470 lines. As a result, combined fields yield a frame of high quality images.
